Well-being Special Directed Call
McDowell Board of Directors Approves Funding for Special Directed Call addressing Well-Being.
The McDowell Foundation invited PreK-12 teachers and other educators to submit an application to a special directed call for research that focuses on student and/or teacher well-being in the [post] COVID-19 public education system in Saskatchewan.
We are pleased to announce that the McDowell Foundation will fund three research projects for a total of $11,595.
The funded projects for the Directed Call are:
- Pandemic “Thrivers:” Investigating the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes of Thriving Teachers During the Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020-22 Ivy Armstrong and Dr. Judy Jaunzems-Fernuk – researchers
- Understanding the Perspectives of Teachers Who Engage Regularly in Physical Activity and Subsequent Implications on Teacher Well-Being Seleste Eftoda -researcher
- Reorienting Post-Pandemic Through Social Emotional Learning Veronica Stewart – researcher

McDowell Foundation grants support publicly funded educators, staff in public institutions of higher education, and other professionals or organizations involved in PreK-12 education.
