Special Directed Call
The Foundation is inviting PreK-12 teachers and other educators to submit a notice of intent for our latest special directed call! This call for research is in memory of Fred Herron, a long time supporter and friend of the McDowell Foundation. Topics for this special directed call can include mathematics, science, environmental science and/or classroom complexity. Research Highlight
Winner of the 2023-24 McDowell Foundation Research Award, Seleste Eftoda's project Understanding the Perspectives of Teachers Who Engage in Regular Physical Activity and Subsequent Implications on Teacher Well-Being provides insights on the benefits and challenges of engaging in regular physical activity and its impacts on teacher well-being.
