The 2016-17 school year will be an exciting one here at the McDowell Foundation. We will be celebrating 25 years of professionally led research supporting teaching and learning in the province. The Foundation was founded in October of 1991 by the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation and has funded over 270 projects with a total of over $1.68 million in grants awarded.
There will be a number of events over the course of the year to recognize this milestone including our Legacy for Learning fundraising campaign, the Learning from Practice conference in February 2017 and other opportunities to recognize the past and ongoing commitment of teachers and others who believe in professionally led, practical research to support public education.
