The McDowell Foundation is inviting teachers and others involved in the PreK-12 education community who are interested in engaging in research to submit a Notice of Intent. McDowell Foundation grants provide financial support, guidance and release time to assist educators with their research project.
Prior research experience is not necessary. The application process provides guidance to educators in developing a meaningful and achievable research project which supports professional development through reflective practice. Grants up to $20,000 each are available and $85,000 has been budgeted for the 2016-17 grant cycle.
Applications to the Foundation require a three-step process:
The Notice of Intent is the first step in the process. Once the Foundation receives the Notice of Intent the staff can support applicants in developing a full research application.
Please contact the Foundation for more information or to receive printed copies of the Research Call for Notice of Intent document.
